President Bill Smith called the meeting to order at 11:25 A.M. and introduced the officers.
He thanked Jane and Bob Mcleod for the use of the beach. He also thanked Nancy McCue for her mother’s arranging for the use of the Center Harbor Firehouse Station in case of rain.
The NH State Department of Environmental Services will do a survey of our lake next summer.

Barbara Lauterwasser, secretary, read the minutes of the July 20, 2002 meeting. The minutes were accepted as read.
Bob Brennan, treasurer stated that there are 41 paid up members, which is down from last year in the number of dues paid. The newsletter next year will be mailed out earlier.
As of 8/17, the balance is $3717.15, with $662.00 received since last meeting for dues and hats.
Expenditures:
$150 The Loon Preservation Committee (includes $50. for the use of the hall and contribution of $100.
$100 New Hampshire Lakes Association
$100 Lakes Region Conservation Trust
$53 Supplies to Mary Ann McRae
Bill Smith thanked Jill Anderson, Fox Smith and Mary Anne McRae for helping with the August picnic.
Jane Fairchild has volunteered to put together the newsletter for next year.
The status of the loon nesting is no chicks in the past 5 years. There will be inquiries into this matter for next year.
Bob Brennan will spend time updating a list of homeowners. There are 285 lots represented. He will add Wakonda Pond residents to our mailing list.
A motion to adjourn the business meeting at 11:45 was passed and the LKWA attendees enjoyed a delicious picnic meal and good fellowship.
